IVF Training Programs in India with IIRFT

A recent survey has concluded that 10% of the general population suffers from some form of infertility. Given that India has a population of over 1.2 billion, the number of Indians suffering from infertility is huge. However the silver lining in this cloud is the fact that now the taboo of infertility has begun to fade, thanks to the increasing popularity of IVF training courses. With these IVF training programs, the grim situation has begun to get better.
Despite the rapid strides innovative strides in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, a dearth in number of embryologists in the country can worsen the whole situation. And for that very reason, the boom in IVF Training courses is an indispensable boon. IVF Training Programs coupled with the scientific advancements in terms of technology as well as gadgets, can go a long way in battling the war against infertility and the trail of negative emotions associated with it.

While the advanced IVF Training programs are aimed at training the doctors specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology or physicians familiar with OI (Ovulation Induction) & IUI (Intra Uterine Insemination) procedures, there are basic IVF Training courses that are specially crafted for beginners.

The main objective of the IVF Training courses is to keep in mind the ethical and economic implications of the treatment and impart an in-depth idea about the IVF cycle, pre-evaluation and testing. A complete learning experience is provided with the help of not just lectures and videos by eminent people in this field but also by hands-on-training.

In an IVF Training program, it is of paramount importance to learn about the embryology equipment like micromanipulators, ICSI instruments, and so on. Proper attention is paid to train the students in the preparation of culture medium and dishes for IVF/IVF-ICSI cases. In addition to that, the IVF techniques in embryo culture, extended embryo culture and the subsequent steps are no less important either.

After the initial basic stages that focus on Sperm preparation: assessment, cryopreservation, preparation for IVF and ICSI stimulation protocols, the courses progress to more intricate details. Topics like embryo cleavage, blastocysts, and culture medium are covered in detail thereafter, paying due attention to troubleshooting and the importance of taking precautions to avoid unwanted factors like multiple pregnancies.

It is, indeed, commendable that India has witnessed a tremendous boom in the number of infertility clinics and embryologists who claim to bring hope into the lives of the couple who haven’t been able to conceive naturally. The IVF Training Programs are now becoming increasing popular and ‘infertility’ has started to be less of a taboo. However, owing to the social and emotional strings attached to this, it is important to sensitize the IVF training courses

At IIRFT, ample care is taken to provide not just quality education in the IVF Training Courses, but also to ensure that proper training is provided to know the importance of taking precautions to avoid unwanted situations, record-keeping of crucial data and even counseling the patients about the ART procedures.

Importance of Assisted Reproductive Treatment Courses in India

The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2014 has been in the making for at least 10 years now. Surrogacy and infertility services provided by clinics in India are becoming popular globally because of the good quality, and the cheap prices. As a result, ART clinics have grown around the country. The clinics provide various services such as in vitro fertilization, intrauterine insemination or intracytoplasmic sperm injection, egg donation and surrogacy.

According to studies, it is estimated that 15 percent of couples around the world are infertile. This indicated infertility is one of the most common problems in India and around the world. The magnitude of the problems and issues related with infertility are enormous as the problem has social implications. Every married couple has the right to have a child.

All clinics in India, involved in treating infertility through procedures like artificial insemination with husband's semen (AIH) or in-vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF), are registered in the country.

Besides IVF, the clinics are practicing techniques such as Artificial Insemination with Donor Semen (AID), Gamete Intrafallopian Tube Transfer (GIFT), Tubal Embryo Transfer (TET), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA), Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE) or processing or storage of gametes (sperm and oocyte) and or embryos.

"With the enormous advances in medicine and medical technologies, 85% of the cases of infertility can be taken care of through medicines, surgery and/or the new medical technologies such as IVF or ICSI. Most of the new technologies aimed at taking care of infertility involve handling of the gamete - spermatozoa or the ooctye - outside the body. They also often involve the donation of spermatozoa or oocyte, or the use of a surrogate mother who would be carrying a baby with whom she has no biological relationship," Indian Council for Medical and Research has stated as Preamble in the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill.

Thus there is a good scope for candidates to go for IVF training in India and other such ART processes. International Institute of Reproduction and Fertility Training is one such institute that offers training based on practical sessions in IVF lab in the capital, New Delhi.

More than 500 students have already gone through the training at IIRFT. If you are also interested to do any of the courses as Basic Course in Semenology, Advanced Course in ICSI, Introductory Course in ART, Certificate Course in ART
